Absolute AoA: Precision Meets Innovation
The FAA has long underscored the importance of AoA systems in preventing stalls and enhancing situational awareness, especially during critical phases like takeoff and landing (FAA SAIB: 2024-07). While traditional AoA indicators serve a purpose, they often fall short—requiring meticulous calibration, ideal sensor placement, and extensive training, with limited utility beyond stall warnings.
This system delivers real-time, reliable AoA data across all flight phases—takeoff, climb, cruise, and landing. Utilizing multiple sensors, the system calculates and calibrates a normalized pressure ratio – an accurate method validated through extensive studies and flight tests. Absolute AoA ensures accuracy regardless of altitude, speed, or aircraft loading. This System delivers precise AoA readings for V-speeds; Integrated LiDAR technology automatically detects flap position and landing configuration without physical connections, enhancing precision during dynamic maneuvers.
Pilots can choose from wireless or wired installation options – completed in as little as one hour or 3-4 hours, respectively – and for display, Absolute AoA provides multiple customizable options, including 2.2-inch, 2.4-inch, 2.8-inch and bar-style touch displays, offering real-time visual feedback to enhance situational awareness. A dedicated 6.5-inch digital Human-Machine Interface (HMI) simplifies setup and AoA calibration, AoA Probe made from high-quality 6061 aluminum.
SkyVoice Alert 500: Your Co-Pilot for Critical Moments
Takeoff and landing demand precision, and SkyVoice Alert 500 delivers it with LiDAR-based height callouts from 500ft to 1 ft. This landing height announcer provides clear audio through your headset or audio panel via Bluetooth or wired connection, ensuring you never miss a cue. With retractable gear warnings like “Check Gear” from 560 feet until the gear is down and locked, it’s a stress-free safeguard for smoother operations.
Customizable reminders – Checklists, Speed, Check Fuel, LC GUMPS, Flaps, and more – keep you on top of every detail, while GPS/MSL altitude announcements (18,000 to 500 feet) enhance situational awareness. Ground clearance in ft can be projected on the Heads Up Display (HUD) and performs reliably in any terrain or moderate weather.
SkyVoice Glassy Guide 400: Mastering Glassy Water Landings
Seaplane pilots know the challenge of glassy water landings – optical illusions can obscure height judgment. SkyVoice Glassy Guide 400, an FAA-certified RADAR altimeter tailored for seaplanes and amphibians. It will give pilots takeoff and landing height announcements and reminders from 1 ft to 400 ft. The 4 reminders from 400 ft to 100 ft can be used to remind you of “400 check gear” or “300 checklist” or “200 flaps” or “100 speed” or many other options that you can select from. After your 100 ft announcement, you can hear 70, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2, and 1 to a smooth and safe water landing.
Powered by Holy Micro!’s HMR400 RADAR (24GHz-ISM band), it excels in rain, snow, fog, and dust, offering robust anti-interference performance. GPS-based reminders (18,000 to 500 feet) like Check Oxygen or Top of Descent add versatility. Compact, lightweight, and energy-efficient, it’s ideal for Seaplanes/Amphibians – certified or experimental.
SkyVoice Glassy Guide 400 Portable: Flexibility without Compromise
For pilots seeking portability, it is helpful to try the Glassy Guide in several locations to see which location works best for you. You can connect the unit to your headset or audio panel by Bluetooth, and do as many test flights as you want to make sure everything is working the way you want. Once you are satisfied, you can open the portable unit and remove the RADAR and the processor to do your permanent install. No app needed—its embedded software eliminates update hassles. All of the hardware and software inside the portable enclosure is the same as the regular FAA certified Glassy Guide unit.
