Solution for Flap Position Sensing: The New AoA Flap Scanner Pod

Many aircraft owners—particularly those with twin-engine aircraft, have raised a common challenge of finding a suitable mounting location near the flap area for LiDAR flap position detection.

To solve this mounting constraint, we have designed and developed a dedicated solution: the AoA Flap Scanner Pod, an add-on product for your Absolute AoA system.

·         Separate sensor housing crafted from aircraft-quality aluminium that can be mounted away from the main AOA probe.

·         This Pod is specifically designed to overcome placement issues on complex wing configurations.

NOTE : This listing DOES NOT include the Flap Scanner LiDAR unit. The images provided showing the Flap Scanner LiDAR installed are for illustration purposes only, to demonstrate how the AoA Flap Scanner Pod functions as a mounting solution for the Flap Scanner LiDAR.

Important Product Information 
The AOA Flap Scanner (LiDAR) is already included as part of the Absolute AoA System bundle, so you do not need to purchase the LiDAR separately. You only need to purchase the Flap Scanner Pod, and we will install the Flap Scanner (LiDAR) in that Pod for your aircraft.

Since the Flap Scanner will be moved to the Pod, a dummy LiDAR insert will be provided to fill the LiDAR cavity in the AOA Probe, so there’s no concern about leaving an open hole or modifying the probe.
