Addressing a common mechanical reality in general aviation, the new update introduces “Open-Range” Calibration<\/strong>, allowing pilots and installers to fine-tune flap sensing ranges to match the unique physical characteristics of their specific airframe. Attendees can experience this new software at Hangar B, Booth B-27&28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adaptability for the Real World<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Traditional Angle-of-Attack (AoA) systems often rely on rigid, factory-set flap positions. However, age, cable stretch, and thermal expansion can cause a flap\u2019s physical position to drift over time, leading to inaccurate stall warnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Airplanes aren’t perfect\u2014cables stretch, linkages wear, and flaps drift,” said Kunnumpurath, Founder of Holy Micro! LLC<\/strong>. “I designed the Absolute AoA to be as adaptable as a real pilot. Our ‘Open-Range’ calibration lets you fine-tune your sensor to your specific airframe, ensuring your stall warnings are pinpoint accurate, whether you’re flying a brand-new build or a seasoned classic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This real-world flexibility is winning over veteran installers. William Thacker<\/strong> of Thacker Aviation<\/strong> (Illinois), who has completed three Absolute AoA installations, hailed the update as a significant step forward. The release of this software comes as Holy Micro! sees an explosion in adoption across the industry. The technology is increasingly being chosen over legacy systems. Recently, at an owner’s request, Clemens Aviation<\/strong> in Wichita, KS, removed an Alpha Systems AoA from a Cessna 441 Conquest<\/strong> to install the Absolute AoA<\/strong>\u2014a move that underscores the market’s growing confidence in Holy Micro!’s superior pressure-ratio technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This prevents data overlap and ensures the CPU never encounters ambiguous configuration data. If a sensed position falls into this gap, the system automatically defaults to its most conservative “Clean” (Flaps 0) logic, ensuring a stall warning is never delayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
